Another problem I had with the film was the vigilante antics exhibited by the FBI agents. Though it gives way for a good movie, it really down plays the hard police work done by the FBI. Another big discrepancy I thought was in the ending scene of the film, in which all the KKK members are arrested and the final scene you see is a tomb stone that reads "Never forgotten?" Which I highly disagree with because of the mere fact that the ending leaves the impression that violence in the South is over and that the FBI has saved the day...

This is exactly the opposite of what happened, because violence against African Americans continued for years to come, and still is around today. I find this very sad, because of the fact that this is the view a person will perceive when watching and have viewed the film, without a background on the civil rights movement...
